Whether you’re a student looking for a place to go during lunch, after school, or you’re simply just a local nearby, you will have an easy time finding a place to eat near R.J. Reynolds High School.
One of those places is Bobby Boy Bakeshop, a cute cafe about a half mile from campus, which holds a very friendly and welcoming feel. They serve a variety of food and drinks such as sandwiches, pastries, coffee, bread, and more! The prices range from around five to seven dollars, and everything is made in-house. Many students enjoy going to Bobby Boy, as it is a great spot for a bite to eat.
“It is close to Reynolds and easy to walk to, so I can go during my lunch and come back,” sophomore Kate Sanders said.
Another spot is That Place in the West End. You can’t miss it when driving by. The big sky blue building is located about a ten-minute walk from campus. They serve poke bowls, burgers, chicken, and fries, making for a great spot to grab lunch. They have been around for about five years and are enjoyed by many.
Then we have a classic, but a good one. This one is located a little further from campus, so you will need to drive there. In the beloved ThruWay Shopping Center, within a five-minute drive from campus, is Chick-fil-A. Although not as close to Reynolds as the other spots on this list, it is still a quick run and very good to get on the way back to Reynolds after the Career Center. Place a mobile order and be through the line in an instant before a short drive back to Reynolds.
“It’s my go-to lunch stop on the way back to school because it’s fast and easy and they have good quality food,” junior Abigail Hiatt said.
If you are looking for something sweet and refreshing, then you should try Cafe Gelato, conveniently located across from Hanes Park and the Reynolds baseball field. Whether you want a cool treat or a cold soda, it is perfect. They have many flavors of gelato, like pistachio, mango, and chocolate, and while eating your sweet treat, you can enjoy indoor and outdoor seating.
There are many different places to get a quick bite to eat around campus. Whether you want a small sweet treat or want to fuel up with a meal, pick and enjoy one of the many options!
