Once a year R.J. Reynolds hosts Fall Fest to showcase some of the many clubs offered here at RJR. Fall Fest is a time where clubs can reach out to students to make money and gain new members. Many of the clubs offered back sales, desserts, drinks, and sculptures they had made as a club. Fall Fest offers a unique opportunity for clubs to advertise what their all about, and students get to see new clubs they might not have heard of before.
“It’s really nice to see everyone come together and see what everyone’s interested in,” RJR student Eden Gentry said. “You can find new opportunities to join something that you may have not wanted to do before, but you now are intrigued.”
Fall Fest also offers a great way to socialize and meet new people. The event enables students, especially underclassmen, to meet students from outside their social circle, creating an open environment.
“It’s really more about the people,” Gentry said. “Buying food and everything is fun, but it’s really my friends that make it.”

Students also aren’t the only ones who get to enjoy this event. Teachers alike share a passion for making fall fest better, leading creatively designed booths.
“This time of year, a lot of students and staff are stressed out and just have a lot going on.” Mrs. Fulk, the ASL teacher and club leader said. “So we do an ASL booth, which has coloring sheets that have different ASL signs on them and Halloween stuff.”
Not to mention, teachers also get to enjoy the fun of fall fest. Whilst leading their clubs, they get to engage in the festive atmosphere and interact with other teachers. All around, everyone is granted a good time.
“You come here and you get to just kind of relax and be a little kid for a bit.” Fulk said.
