    As we begrudgingly move into the second semester, many of us may wonder: What can I do to get my grades up? The answer may differ from person to person, but the bottom line is, you need to find a killer spot to study.

Barnes and Noble

    Open seven days a week, the Barnes and Noble cafe is the perfect place to go in a pinch. Whether you can’t get into the flow at home or your house is filled with noise, the heart of the quiet bookstore is a perfect place to complete classwork or study for that make-or-break test.

    Not only does the cafe have a large array of original pastries and drinks, but it also offers a large selection of beverages off of the Starbucks menu, including popular blended beverages like the Vanilla Bean Frappuccino.

    The mixture of drinks and pastries makes Barnes and Noble a great spot to complete work fast and stress-free while sipping on a classic Starbucks coffee or eating a cafe classic grilled cheese sandwich. 

Louie and Honey’s Kitchen 

    Quickly becoming a Winston-Salem classic, Louie and Honey’s Kitchen has sparked the attention of students around Forsyth County. Located within walking distance of R.J. Reynolds High School, Louie and Honey is a great choice when it comes to efficiency.

    After recently expanding, the bakery can quickly flow through customers. This allows students to grab a fresh pastry or hot coffee before taking on the sometimes daunting task of completing a chapter’s worth of notes.

     Louie and Honey is a great place to study; between the tasty pastries, comfortable seating, or the proximity to RJR, Louie and Honey takes the cake.

Camino Bakery 

    With three locations in Winston-Salem, Camino Bakery is set to fit any type of studier. Camino’s menu has a wide variety, including an assortment of sweet, savory, gluten-free, and vegan options. In addition to the long food menu, the drink menu doesn’t disappoint. The bakery’s drinks taste rich with flavor, sourcing ingredients from other local businesses like Chad’s Chai and Methodical Coffee.

    To add something new to each study session, Camino has a changing special for every day of the week, such as two-for-one cheesecake slices on Thursdays. On top of that, Camino has a seasonal drink menu.

    Between the many locations and ever-changing menus, Camino is a fantastic place to mix up your next study session.
